Financial Aid for Pet Medical Care

Veterinary care can be surprisingly expensive, often catching pet owners off guard. From routine check-ups to emergency treatments, the costs can add up quickly, making it difficult for some to afford necessary care for their beloved pets. Factors such as advanced medical technology, medications, and specialized services contribute to these rising costs, highlighting the importance of planning and budgeting for pet healthcare.

When looking to adopt, potential owners must take into account the foreseen and unforeseen costs associated with pet ownership.  Pets get old and they can get pretty much every disease humans do - cancer, heart disease, diabetes and more.  It's not fair to give up a pet because of such things so taking steps early on, such as establishing a pet medical fund for, will help ensure owners have the necessary funds to cover unexpected medical costs and to ensure their furry friends receive the best care possible.

Thanks to the generosity of others, it MAY be possible for pet owners to receive financial assistance for life saving emergencies.  Each source has their own qualification requirements so be sure to review them carefully.  These funds are not for general expenses - that's an owner's responsibility.

Teddy & Rose Rainbow Bridge Fund

Teddy2 (2).jpg

Sweet Rose was surrendered to a local animal shelter in horrific condition.  Upon seeing her we knew, heartbreakingly, she would not last the night and that she absolutely did not deserve to die in a cold, steel cage at the shelter.  Rose was practically hairless, terribly underweight, and her body temperature was well below normal.  Sadly, Rose had to be euthanized the same day we accepted her into our rescue due to her deteriorated state.  This beautiful soul deserved so much better but in her passing she felt love, warmth, and compassion.

At the same time we pulled Rose, we also accepted her son, Teddy.  While he was in slightly better condition, he still needed a lot of tender, loving care.  Teddy wasn't necessarily the easiest to handle but over time, and with the patience and dedication of his adoptive mom, Teddy learned to trust and love in return.  Teddy recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge from a brain tumor.

The decision to euthanize a beloved pet is one of the hardest to make but it is the kindest decision to make out of love.  We accept the pain because our pets deserve to pass with dignity and peace, and while it rips our hearts to shreds and literally takes our breath away, it is the right decision.

Unfortunately, with the high costs of not only regular veterinary care but also euthanasia, we are trying to help those who need it most when the day comes to let their best friend go.  Pets deserve and need to have their family with them as they fly free...we hope this fund will help some find peace.

This fund has been established in honor Teddy and Rose.

Please note that funds are limited and if approved, may only be used to cover the cost of euthanasia, not cremation.  Veterinary medical records will be required for consideration of funds.
